Barcelona attacker Lamine Yamal has been linked with a move to the Premier League with clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool keen on him.
However, a report from TBR Football claims that Barcelona are uninterested in selling the 17-year-old. Yamal is undoubtedly one of the finest young talents in world football right now, and he has established himself as a key player for club and country.
He’s a world-class prospect who has the attributes to develop into a superstar in the future. It is no surprise that clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on securing his signature. However, Barcelona would be foolish to sell a generational talent like him.
The 17-year-old winger helped Spain win the European championships during the summer and he has been exceptional for Barcelona in La Liga. The young winger scored an exceptional goal against Real Madrid in the El Clasico yesterday. He is destined to become one of the best players in the world and Barcelona must keep him at the club for as long as possible.
There is no doubt that he would be an exceptional acquisition for Arsenal, but it will be very difficult for the Gunners to convince the Spanish outfit. Arsenal could certainly certainly use more quality in the wide areas so that they can rotate players like Bukayo Saka more often.
Liverpool keen on Lamine Yamal
Similarly, Liverpool need to bring in more quality in the wide areas as well. Mohamed Salah will be a free agent in the summer of 2025, and they will need to replace him adequately. Signing one of the best young players in the world who plays in a similar position would be the ideal solution. However, it is extremely unlikely that they will be able to convince Barcelona. They would have to pay an absurd amount of money for the Spanish club to even consider a sale. Even though Barcelona are going through financial difficulties, they are likely to rely on other expendable assets to raise funds.
Furthermore, the 17-year-old winger will look to continue at his boyhood club and establish himself as a world-class player for them.
