Newcastle United not worried about Eddie Howe future amid Manchester United links

Newcastle United are optimistic about keeping hold of their manager Eddie Howe amidst interest from rivals Manchester United.

Manchester United are looking at potential candidates who can take over from Erik ten Hag as their new boss if they decide to part ways with the Dutch manager. Eddie Howe is one of the names on their shortlist but according to a report from Football Insider, Newcastle United are not worried about the English manager’s future as they believe he is completely focused on doing his best for the Tyneside club.

Manchester United’s search for a new manager continues

The Red Devils returned to winning ways last time out against Brentford. But they have only managed to climb up to 12th on the points table. It has been one of the worst starts to a new campaign for Manchester United, and the future of their manager ten Hag remains uncertain.

The Manchester United board is already scouting the market to identify the right manager who can take over from the former Ajax boss if they end up sacking him. Thomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate were both quite high on their wishlist. But things did not go according to plan as Tuchel ended up taking the England job, while Southgate has decided to take a break from the game.

Manchester United are unlikely to succeed in signing Eddie Howe

The Reds Devils have been forced to look at other targets, and the report states that Eddie Howe is quite high on their wishlist. The Englishman took charge of the Magpies towards the end of 2021 and has done an exceptional job at the Tyneside club over the years.

From fighting to survive in the English top flight to guiding them into the UEFA Champions League, the 46-year-old has taken them places. His attractive and attacking style of play along with the success that he has had at Newcastle has resulted in a lot of admiration from Manchester United.

They feel he could help them revive the club and could try to lure him to Old Trafford. However, Newcastle United are not worried about the future of their boss. While the Magpies have had a mixed start to the new campaign, they will be backing Howe all the way.

They have a clear stance on his future, they believe Howe who earns £4 million-a-year is the right man to help them establish themselves as one of the best teams in England and that he is fully committed to their project.
