Aston Villa offer €15 million to sign Ferran Torres, Barcelona want €25 million

Aston Villa will have to pay higher than €15 million to sign Ferran Torres, with Barcelona demanding €25 million for the Spanish international.

According to Fichajes, Aston Villa have made a €15 million offer to sign Ferran Torres ahead of the January transfer window. Barcelona are open to a sale, but they want a fee of around €25 million to sell the 24-year-old, as Unai Ewmery eyes the Spanish international to improve his attacking setup.

Unai Emery will want to bring in reinforcements in specific areas ahead of the January transfer window, with a central defender and possibly a winger on his priority list. The Premier League outfit are enjoying a good start to their season in all competitions, and their form in the UEFA Champions League has made them one of the favourites to reach the knockout stages.

Bringing in reinforcements in January would help elevate their squad quality to another level, as Emery will seek a wide attacker with versatile attributes in the next window. The Aston Villa manager has been looking to bring an experienced attacker of that sort in the wake of Moussa Diaby’s departure but had to resort to signing young stars like Jaden Philogene.

Monchi is working to bring Kenan Yildiz, with the Juventus attacker a big target who will cost huge fees. Ferran Torres has now emerged as a target, with the director’s reputation and contacts in Spain likely to play a big part in the hunt.

Torres was uninterested in a summer move to Newcastle United, as he preferred to stay at Barcelona. However, Hansi Flick does not consider him a sure starter in his plans, as Raphinha and Lamine Yamal occupy wide roles in the attack. This means they could be open to a sale of the €25 million-rated forward.

Aston Villa make offer to sign Torres

Aston Villa have reportedly made a €15 million offer to test Barcelona’s resolve over Ferran Torres, although the Blaugrana want more. The Catalan giants are keen to fetch at least €25 million and are open to selling the winger for that price.

Aston Villa could potentially stretch their budget to accommodate Barcelona’s request. However, any deal will depend on the €25 million-rated Barcelona forward’s desire to move back to the Premier League, as he does seem settled in Catalonia.
