Arsenal warned about Bukayo Saka amid William Saliba Real Madrid links

Darren Bent believes Arsenal should be concerned about Bukayo Saka’s future amid links between William Saliba and Real Madrid.

Arsenal have made significant progress under the leadership of Mikel Arteta. They have established themselves as one of the title contenders in the Premier League and are a consistent feature in Europe. Young prospects like Bukayo Saka and William Saliba have been an important part of all that they have achieved in recent years.

Saliba’s incredible rise has not gone unnoticed, and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Los Blancos are one of the teams who tend to get what they want, and it is quite understandable why the fans are worried about his future. But, Darren Bent feels Arsenal fans should also be concerned about Saka’s future.

While speaking on talkSPORT, the former Tottenham striker said: “Real Madrid, it’s very rare they go after a player, like properly go after a player, and don’t get them,” said Bent before continuing, “Usually, they do their homework, maybe a couple of years in advance. It’s a concern, it has to be. Saka is another one you worry about, but I think as long as Arsenal keep progressing, keep winning trophies, then they are not going anywhere.”

The Spanish giants lack depth at the back and with David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger on the wrong side of 30, they are looking to bring in a young centre-back. Saliba is a top target for them having established himself as one of the best defenders in the game.

The Arsenal fans will surely be worried about his future. While they will try to keep hold of the 23-year-old centre-back, Real Madrid are a team who very rarely miss out on their top targets. Once they go after a player, in most cases, they end up signing him.

Bent warns Arsenal fans about Saka’s future

While Saliba’s future is already a big concern for Arsenal fans, Bent feels they also need to worry about their wonderboy Saka who has only gone from strength to strength since getting promoted to their first-team back in 2019.

The Englishman is one of their most important players, and the 23-year-old is surely on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Saka is already a regular for club and country, given the kind of talent he has, the English winger looks destined for greatness. But, he could be tempted to join a bigger club in the future and Bent feels the only way to ensure their stars do not leave is by not just competing for major titles but by winning them.
