Fulham considering Tolu Arokodare swoop

Fulham are interested in acquiring the services of KRC Genk attacking sensation Tolu Arokodare when the window reopens in January.

Fulham are keen on adding more firepower to their attack. Marco Silva wants to sign another number nine despite the excellent form of his forwards and according to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, the Cottagers have their eyes set on KRC Genk’s Tolu Arokodare.

The 23-year-old Nigerian striker joined the Belgian club at the start of 2023 after a short stint at French club Amiens SC. So far, he has featured in 73 matches for Genk and has contributed towards 28 goals (23 goals, 5 assists).

Last season the 6ft 6ins tall striker bagged 15 goals and three assists in his 50 plus outings and he seems to have taken his game to another level in the 2024/25 season. He already has six goals in his ten league outings, and his performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs.

Arokodare’s contract at the Belgian club might run until the summer of 2027, but he is unlikely to be around for long. Genk were ready to sanction his departure for around £7 million in the summer.

While he did end up staying at the club, he could leave them at the next possible opportunity. But, this time around, expect the price to be a touch on the higher side thanks to his incredible form in front of goal and interest from clubs in the Premier League.

Fulham could sign Arokodare

Fulham are the ones who have been linked with the 23-year-old giant of a striker. The Cottagers have made an impressive start to the new season, and Marco Silva has been able to bring the best out of his striker’s Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz.

While both seem to be firing on all cylinders, the Portuguese manager is still on the lookout for a new number nine. Arokodare’s rise has caught his attention, and they are considering pushing for his signature.

The Nigerian striker has a completely different set of qualities in comparison to the two forwards Fulham. His height is an x-factor, and he could surely given Silva more firepower in the final third of the pitch.
