Real Betis have reportedly submitted an offer worth just €6 million to sign Tottenham Hotspur outcast Giovani Lo Celso.
According to a report from Ole, Real Betis have finally tabled an offer worth €6 million to acquire the services of Giovani Lo Celso. The Spanish outfit are looking to bring the Argentine ace back to the club, and they are in talks with Tottenham, who value the player at €30 million, as they look to strike a deal.
The North London club signed Lo Celso back in the summer of 2019 on the back of an impressive spell at Real Betis. They forked out a significant fee to sign him on loan and then make the move permanent in the following summer.
While the Argentine international was an integral part of their plans in the initial years, he has gone down the pecking order with time. The 28-year-old has spent a significant amount of time out on loan in recent seasons but he stayed at Spurs during Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge.
While Giovani Lo Celso was involved in 24 games, he was on the pitch for less than 600 minutes. The Argentine is frustrated by the lack of minutes, and he seeks to move to a club where he will have regular first-team action. With his contract running out in less than 12 months, Spurs are also ready to cash in on him.
Real Betis have been working on a potential deal for some time now. The Spanish outfit are all set to part ways with skipper Nabil Fekir who is on his way to Al-Jazira. While they would love to bring in Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, that doesn’t seem to be a possibility.
Real Betis table a €6 million offer for Lo Celso
Real Betis have shifted their focus towards signing Tottenham outcast Giovani Lo Celso. The 28-year-old has had an impressive spell at Benito Villamarin back in the day, and their manager Manuel Pellegrini welcomes the addition of the former PSG star who can not only fill the void left by Nabil Fekir but can also feature in multiple other positions.
While Tottenham are looking for €30 million to offload the Argentine international, Real Betis have submitted an offer worth just €6 million. There is a significant difference in the valuation of the two teams. But the Spanish outfit remain confident about striking a deal on their terms as they are aware of the fact that Spurs are looking to get him off their books as soon as possible.
