In addition, German journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that a verbal agreement is in place between the two clubs, and Everton will sign Mangala on loan with an option to buy him for €40 million next year.
The Lyon midfielder is highly rated across Europe, and he could be a key player for Everton. The Toffees needed a combative presence in the middle of the park after the departure of Amadou Onana, and Mangala should prove to be a solid acquisition for them.
