Manchester United agree €60 million package to sign Manuel Ugarte, deal completion soon

Manchester United have been linked with a move for 23-year-old PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte throughout this summer.

According to reputed journalist Duncan Castles, Manchester United have agreed to a €60 million package with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain for Uruguay international midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The 23-year-old will complete his move to Manchester United soon.

Ugarte struggled for regular game time at PSG last season, and he needed to leave the French club this summer. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Red Devils. Manchester United need more physicality and defensive steel in the middle of the park.

Manuel Ugarte will help break up opposition attacks, and he will protect the defenders as well. His arrival will help Manchester United tighten up defensively, and it will also allow the creative players to operate with more freedom. Manchester United conceded 58 goals in the league last season, and they cannot afford to do that if they are serious about pushing Arsenal and Manchester City next season.

Manuel Ugarte would be superb addition

Ugarte was highly rated during his time at Sporting CP, and there is no doubt that he is an elite talent. The 23-year-old has plenty of time to get his career back on track, and he will look to get back to his best with regular football in the Premier League.

He has the physical and technical attributes to do well in English football, and he could be a key player for Manchester United in the long term. Although the €60 million deal might seem like a major investment right now, the young midfielder has the quality and the potential to justify the outlay in the coming seasons.

Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play for them can be attractive for most players. The midfielder was very keen on a move to Old Trafford despite interest from other clubs, and he will be delighted to see that the two parties have sorted out an agreement. He will look to finalise the move to the English club and focus on his football now.
