Kingsley Coman keen on Arsenal move

Kingsley Coman might be open to a switch to Arsenal, with Bayern Munich willing to let him go in this window, either on loan or permanently.

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal’s reported interest in Kingsley Coman could be boosted, with the winger keen on switching to the Emirates. Barcelona are also chasing the Frenchman, but the Gunners could have the edge, as Bayern Munich are willing to let him leave either on loan or a permanent transfer.

Kingsley Coman is open to joining Arsenal

Kingsley Coman and his agent will evaluate offers ahead of the new season, as his time at Bayern Munich could come to an abrupt end. He’s still considered a key star, but doubts about his recent injury record threaten to keep him available at all times. Moreover, the Bavarians have also signed Michael Olise, who represents a danger to Coman’s place in the team.

Bayern are open to letting the winger leave for €30-40 million in this window or even accepting a loan departure if it comes with an option or obligation. Despite several reports stating the contrary, Manchester City are not chasing him, although Arsenal is interested.

Mikel Arteta seeks a wide attacker in his ranks before the window closes, as the Spanish manager feels he should bring in a new player into his attacking setup. Ideally, Arsenal need someone to cover for Bukayo Saka, as Coman could be a fabulous option, as the Gunners could plot a loan move. The winger is now open to joining the North Londoners if a deal can be agreed but needs assurances over game time.

Coman’s experience is a big plus for Arteta to consider, although to make this move happen, Bayern might have to contribute some towards his high wages. He could be a fantastic option for the Gunners, but there are already some doubts and competition for the winger.

Competition and injury record key to Arsenal transfer

Coman suffered three different injuries last season that only enabled him to play 17 Bundesliga games. His age and that injury record. could put Arsenal off this pursuit, as he could be seen as a risky signing, as the Gunners boss would want the availability of a professional above everything else. Moreover, there’s the element of Coman wanting assurances about game time, something Arteta will not guarantee purely on reputation.

Then, there’s competition in the market for the winger, with Barcelona among those keen on Coman. The Catalans want a new left-winger and have Nico Williams as their priority target, but as days pass, doubts are creeping in whether they will be able to broker a deal for the Euro 2024 winner.
