West Ham United do not want to pay more than £20 million to sign Crysencio Summerville

West Ham United have been linked with a move for 22-year-old Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer.

According to a report by Football Insider, West Ham United do not want to pay more than £20 million for Crysencio Summerville. The Dutchman had an exceptional 2023/24 season with Leeds United, and he contributed towards 31 goals and assists.

The Hammers have already tabled an initial offer to sign the youngster. Meanwhile, Leeds United value the player in excess of £35 million. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can reach a compromise.

Crysencio Summerville is undoubtedly the best attacker in the EFL Championship, and he will be disappointed to have missed out on a promotion to the Premier League earlier this summer. He will be desperate to compete in the top flight, and the opportunity to join West Ham might be quite attractive for him.

The Hammers have an ambitious project and a quality manager at their disposal. They could put together a squad capable of pushing for trophies and summer will certainly want to be a part of that. However, Leeds are unlikely to sell their best attacker unless their valuation is met. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.

Leeds United will be pushing for promotion next season, and they will want to keep their best players at the club. Crysencio Summerville is certainly an exceptional performer for them, and West Ham will have to come forward with a lucrative proposal to sign him.

Summerville would improve West Ham

The Dutch attacker is versatile enough to operate on either flank, and he will add goals, pace, flair and creativity to the side. West Ham would do well to sign a quality attacker like him. His arrival will allow Mohammed Kudus to leave the line for West Ham next season, and Summerville could start on the flanks along with Jarrod Bowen. It could complete West Ham’s front three for the foreseeable future.

The Hammers certainly have the financial muscle to pay in excess of £35 million for the Dutch attacker, and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to be more flexible with their Stance.

If they manage to sign the Leeds United attacker for a fee of around £20 million, it could be a major bargain for them. The Dutch attacker is still quite young and he is only going to get better with coaching and experience. The 22-year-old could be a key player for West Ham in the coming seasons.
