Manchester United in talks with Leny Yoro, some representatives pushing him to Old Trafford switch

Manchester United have leapfrogged Real Madrid in the race for Leny Yoro with some representatives pushing him for a move to Old Trafford.

According to Nabil Djellit, Manchester United are now leading the race for the services of Leny Yoro. The English giants have managed to overtake Real Madrid in the pursuit of the young French defensive sensation. While they have agreed a deal with LOSC Lille, there is still a long way to go.

Yoro’s exceptional rise at the French club has not gone unnoticed. Multiple top clubs want to sign the teenager and with just 12 months left on his deal, his departure looks almost certain. While Lille did want to extend the start of the youngster, he is not willing to pen down a new deal.

Yoro’s entourage wants to join Real Madrid

The Lille graduate has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid and is hoping they can strike a deal with his club for a transfer window. With the player keen on joining them and his agent Jorge Mendes looking to return to the good books of the Spanish giants, they have been quite confident about signing the 18-year-old.

While their lowball offer was rejected by the French club who want a significant fee to sanction Yoro’s departure, Real Madrid seem willing to play the waiting them. They do not intend to overpay for a player who could be available for free in a year.

Manchester United strike a deal with Lille

Real Madrid’s stance has given Manchester United the hope that they could win the race for the services of one of the best young defenders on the planet. They have already managed to overtake Los Blancos after agreeing a deal worth €62 million (€50 million plus another €12 million as add-ons) with Lille.

After striking a deal with Lille, the Red Devils are now in negotiations with the player’s camp on salary conditions. While he still prefers joining the Spanish giants, he will have to make a decision soon. According to a report from Foot Mercato, some members of the player’s entourage are pushing him to make the move to England.

They feel it would be easier for him to break into the Manchester United first team in comparison to what it might be like at Santiago Bernabéu. The pressure surely seems to be on Yoro who has a huge decision to make. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest, Real Madrid could return with a new offer as they do not intend to lose out on him.
