Juventus reportedly want to sign 24-year-old out-of-favour Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho this summer.
According to Nick Semeraro, Juventus have reached an agreement with Manchester United regarding Jadon Sancho, who will join the Serie A club on loan. The 24-year-old has already approved the move to the Allianz Stadium, and the transfer is likely to be finalised once Juventus manage to complete a sale.
The Englishman was on loan at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season, and he helped the German club reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League. He was a key player for them and showed that he is good enough to compete at the highest level.
A move to Italy with Juventus could be ideal for him. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and staying at Manchester United will not be ideal for him. And he has responded favourably to the Serie A club’s interest.
The 24-year-old England international has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford, and it makes sense for the club to let him leave. Ideally, Manchester United would have wanted to sell him permanently. But it seems that they are struggling to find a permanent destination for him.
Manchester United will have to accept major loss
Manchester United paid £73 million for the Englishman when they signed him from Borussia Dortmund, and they expected him to develop into a world-class player for them. The transfer has clearly not worked out, and Manchester United will have to let him leave for a major loss.
It will be interesting to see if they can sell the player permanently next summer. An impressive loan spell at Juventus in the upcoming season could boost his market value. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old will look to continue his development with regular football in Italy. Sancho has the technical attributes to succeed with Juventus, and he could establish himself as a key player for them.
The 24-year-old is versatile enough to operate on both flanks, and he will add goals, creativity and technical ability in the final third. Meanwhile, Manchester United need to improve their attacking options as well, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to bring in a quality replacement for Sancho before the summer transfer window closes.
