Crystal Palace keen on Maghnes Akliouche

Crystal Palace are keen on acquiring the services of AS Monaco attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche this summer.

Crystal Palace are looking at ways to reinforce their squad ahead of next season. They want to add more quality to their attack and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Eagles are keen on signing Maghnes Akliouche who has had an impressive rise at AS Monaco and is on the wishlist of quite a few top clubs.

Akliouche has come up the ranks at the French club and has been a part of their first team setup since the summer of 2022. The attacking midfielder hardly got much game time in his debut season but he did manage to impress with his performances last time out.

During the 2022/24 campaign, the French youth international was involved in 31 matches. While he only got just over 1,700 minutes, the 22-year-old managed to contribute towards 12 goals (8 goals, 4 assists). He prefers playing as a 10 but the majority of his appearances came on the right flank and he did a great job every time he was handed an opportunity.

His impressive performances have attracted a lot of interest and top clubs are keeping a close eye on him ahead of a potential transfer. French giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the services of the youngster who has made a name for himself on the back of his exciting abilities.

Crystal Palace are interested in Akliouche

Akliouche is also on the wishlist of Crystal Palace who are looking to add more quality to their attack. Oliver Glasner had an impressive start to life at Palace but it seems he has quite a few challenges to deal with before heading into his first full season in charge.

Michael Olise is closing in on a move to Bayern Munich while Eberechi Eze has also been linked with multiple top clubs. The Eagles look all set to lose two of their best attacking options and they could look at Akliouche as an exciting replacement option given he can feature in multiple positions.

While the Eagles are interested in his signatures, they will find it difficult to strike a deal with Monaco as their director Thiago Scuro has suggested that they are confident of keeping hold of their attacking sensation and are in talks to hand him a new deal which will extend his stay beyond 2026.
