Manchester United hoping to sell Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho by next week

Manchester United are keen to offload Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood as soon as possible, but either sale has complications.

According to HITC, Manchester United does not want to attack duo Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho at the club in time for pre-season. With the Red Devils now openly backing Erik ten Hag and having retained their manager, the future of the two attackers has been cast into major doubt, as either sale could have complications.

Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood to be sold?

As Manchester United plans for incoming signings, they have a burning problem with attacking duo Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho. Owing to their respective problems, the two players are no longer part of the club’s plans, as the Red Devils are hoping to sell them before the start of pre-season.

Manchester United knows the complications of selling either star, as they were hoping to offload them for sizeable sums. Sancho has the interest of Juventus, who would only prefer a loan-to-buy deal, something the Red Devils are not very open to.

Sancho wanted a permanent return to Borussia Dortmund, although that deal was out of his hands as the Germans were not in a position to pay Manchester United’s asking price. He has been offered to some of the top Premier League sides, although the chances of anyone in the league signing for what the Red Devils might demand seems unlikely.

Manchester United are not keen on taking a massive hit on Sancho and will demand significantly. As for Greenwood, the situation is far more complicated than Sancho’s, as the club wants to keep their distance owing to the attacker’s controversial circumstances.

Greenwood deal is far more complicated

Juventus reportedly called off their chase owing to fan protests against Greenwood, and they have since expressed the idea of bringing in Sancho. The attacker spent last season on loan with Getafe, who want him back, but clubs like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are keen on the beleaguered attacker.

Manchester United are also willing to sanction a loan should it come with a buy option. Greenwood’s solitary year on his deal is fine, as the Red Devils reportedly have an option to extend his contract. However, the report claimed they want £40 million for him, which may seem wishful thinking from the club.
