Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad are reportedly keen on signing Premier League stars Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min.
According to TEAMtalk, Al-Ittihad are lining up a move for Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min. The former will be out of contract next summer. It seems unlikely that Liverpool will let him leave this summer, and the Saudi Arabian outfit will probably hope to secure his services on a free transfer next year.
Salah has been an exceptional player for Liverpool, and his departure will weaken their attack severely. It remains to be seen whether Al-Ittihad can convince the Premier League giants to sell the Egyptian for a substantial fee this summer.
Meanwhile, Spurs attacker Son is on their radar as well. The South Korean is certainly one of the best players in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Saudi outfit. Al-Ittihad certainly have the financial resources to tempt Tottenham to sell the player, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Ange Postecoglou is looking to put together a formidable squad at the North London club, and he will be hoping to challenge for trophies next season. Spurs must hold on to their best players if they want to do well next year.
Son has carried the Tottenham attack since the departure of Harry Kane, and his exit will weaken them immensely. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool and Tottenham can convince their key players to continue in the Premier League for now.
Salah and Son must compete at the highest level
Salah and Son are operating at a very high level, and they should look to continue in a top European league for now. They will have plenty of opportunities to move to Saudi Arabia or MLS in the near future.
They are good enough to compete at the highest level and win major trophies. Moving to Saudi Arabia, at this stage of their careers will be quite underwhelming. That said, Saudi Arabian clubs will be able to offer them lucrative wages, which could prove to be a defining factor in the twilight stages of their careers.
