Liverpool closing in on signing Arne Slot

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on sealing the appointment of 45-year-old Dutchman Arne Slot as their next manager.

Arne Slot has been linked with a move to Liverpool, and he has recently confirmed his desire to join them as well. According to a report from Give Me Sport, an agreement should be reached between the two clubs soon.

Another report by Give Me Sport, has revealed that the compensation could be around €15 million. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he will take a sabbatical from management, and the Reds will have to replace him adequately.

Klopp is undoubtedly one of the best managers in their history, and replacing him will be a difficult challenge. The German tactician has helped them win several trophies during his time at the club, and Arne Slot will be under a lot of pressure when he takes over.

The Dutch manager will be expected to guide Liverpool to trophies almost immediately, and it remains to be seen whether he is up for that challenge. The 45-year-old has certainly impressed with his management in the Eredivisie, and he guided Feyenoord to a league title last season.

However, the step up to the Premier League can be quite challenging, and it remains to be seen whether he can thrive in English football. There is no doubt that Liverpool have a quality squad. But they will need a few important additions to truly compete with Arsenal and Manchester City next season.

Arne Slot will fancy Liverpool job

A move to Liverpool will give Slot the platform to compete for major trophies, and the 45-year-old will look to establish himself as one of the best managers in European football. He was linked with Tottenham Hotspur last summer as well.

Liverpool have the resources to sign quality players, and Slot will be hoping to put together a formidable squad at the Premier League club. Meanwhile, the Reds have been in quite disappointing form recently, and they will look to finish the season as strongly as possible. They will look to secure their place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
