Arsenal are ready to break the bank and fork out €110 million for the services of 21-year-old Real Madrid midfield star Eduardo Camavinga.
According to a report by DefensaCentral, Mikel Arteta is keen on having Eduardo Camavinga in his ranks at Arsenal. The Spanish manager is desperate to have the 21-year-old Real Madrid sensation at the London club and they are willing to spend a fortune to acquire his services.
Camavinga’s impressive rise
Camavinga made a name for himself coming up the ranks at Stade Rennais. He made it to their first team in the winter of 2019 and was on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Real Madrid went hard and managed to acquire his services in the summer of 2021.
The 21-year-old French international has since gone from strength to strength. And, of late he has been an integral part of their first team. In the ongoing campaign, he has featured in 33 matches and has racked up over 2,000 minutes.
Camavinga has the potential to be one of the best midfielders in the world and he has been a consistent performer for the team in white. Despite that, he is not a regular starter at the club because of the kind of depth they have in midfield.
Arsenal to push hard for Camavinga’s signatures
Arsenal are looking to make the best out of this situation and sign the 21-year-old. They are keen on bolstering their defence with Joringho entering the final phase of his career and Thomas Partey’s future at the club uncertain.
Since Camavinga is not an undisputed starter at Real Madrid, Arsenal are looking to lure him to London with a better role and an even better financial package. They have been after his services for a while now and are looking to go all out with a €110 million offer to land him at the club. The Gunners feel they will have a great opportunity to sign him if he doesn’t start in important Champions League fixtures.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have no intentions of negotiating his departure. They are well aware of his potential and do not want to lose out on such an incredible player. His minutes have improved over the years and he is expected to have an even bigger role next season with Luka Modric’s potential departure. The 21-year-old is an important part of their first team and he is expected to get better with time.
