Tottenham Hotspur plotting part exchange deal to sign Albert Gudmundsson

Tottenham Hotspur could offer a part exchange deal to sign the 26-year-old Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson.

According to a report by InterLive, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Albert Gudmundsson in their ranks. The 26-year-old Iceland international has been in sensational form of late and Spurs are looking to sign him in order to bolster their attack.

Gudmundsson arrived at Genoa in the winter of 2022 and he has gone from strength to strength since making the move. He has featured in a total of 80 matches for the Italian club and has contributed towards 37 goals.

In the ongoing season, the 26-year-old forward has featured in 30 matches and has contributed towards 17 goals. He has found the back of the net on 13 occasions and also has four assists to his name. His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed as multiple clubs are ready to battle it out for his signatures.

Tottenham Hotspurs keen on Gudmundsson

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on his signatures. Ange Postecoglou wants to add more firepower to his attack and they feel the Iceland international could be a great addition to their ranks. He can provide support to James Maddison and can also feature on the flanks when needed.

While Fabio Paratici has been banned by FIFA, he is still working behind the scenes to help Tottenham get their desired targets. He played a part in Radu Dragusin’s transfer in January and is now looking to ensure the North London club can beat the competition to Gudmundsson’s signatures.

Inter Milan are one of the clubs that could challenge Spurs for the services of the 26-year-old. They are keen on his signatures and are looking to put forward a player-plus-cash deal to beat the English club to his signatures.

A player plus cash deal to sign the Iceland International

While the Italian giants are trying their best, they might come out short in the race to his signatures. Paratici is pushing Tottenham to offer €28-30 cash plus Djed Spence as a part of the deal. The 23-year-old full-back is already on loan at Genoa and there is a buy option worth €10 million.

In simple terms, Spurs are willing to offer around €30 million plus the price take of the right-back. Given the manner in which they are pushing for the 26-year-old’s services, there is a high possibility that he will end up joining them in the summer.
