Tottenham Hotspur have already been heavily linked with a move for Antonio Nusa ahead of the summer, and are now also keen on his Club Brugge teammate Andreas Skov Olsen.
According to Voetbalkrant, Tottenham are stepping up plans for their summer recruitment drive and are ready to re-open talks over a transfer for January target Antonio Nusa, and this time they could also look to bring his Club Brugge teammate to the club in a major €50 million-plus double deal.
Spurs looked set to sign talented 18-year-old Nusa in January before Brentford hijacked their deal by agreeing a £25 million fee with the Belgian outfit.
However, Nusa’s switch to the Bees ultimately collapsed after a complication arose during his medical.
Despite this, both Tottenham and Brentford remain interested in signing the teenager, and the North Londoners have now taken concrete steps towards winning the race.
The Lilywhites have reportedly “started negotiations” with the Belgian club after failing to make progress in January.
Club Brugge have slapped a €37 million price-tag on their asset. Tottenham are not pleased with the steep asking price sought by the Jupiler Pro League club and want to find a solution that benefits both parties.
Tottenham eyeing both Skov Olsen and Nusa from Brugge
Apart from the Norway international, Ange Postecoglou’s side have his club teammate, Andreas Skov Olsen, on their radar.
It’s claimed that the North London club have been following his progress since his spell at Bologna before moving to Brugge in 2022.
The Danish star, who can play off the right of midfield or through the centre, has emerged as one of the most coveted players in the Jupiler Pro-League, scoring 22 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions. He has also provided eight assists when operating from the right-hand side.
While Spurs did lose talismanic striker Harry Kane over the summer, Postecoglou has filled the void by moving Son Heung-min into a more central role, while also getting the best in Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski. The likes of Brennan Johnson and January signing Timo Werner are also options at the Aussie head coach’s disposal.
But Postecoglou remains determined to add further attacking options to his mix, and the Spurs chief are mulling a double deal for Nusa and Olsen.
The report states that a fee of around €50 million is very realistic for the two stars, and Club Brugge will likely accept this offer. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are willing to spend that much money on both Nusa and Olsen this summer, but if they are, the Belgian club will be open to the idea.
