West Ham United have scouted Raoul Bellanova ahead of the summer, with David Moyes seeking a new right-back option.
According to Tutto Sport via Sport Witness, West Ham United are interested in exploring a deal for Raoul Bellanova in the summer window. David Moyes might bring a new right back as an addition to his side, with one of Vladimir Coufal or Ben Johnson likely to depart the London Stadium.
West Ham scout Raoul Bellanova
West Ham United are eager to finish the season as high as possible on the table, preferably taking on another European campaign. This season, the Hammers are firmly a contender in the Europa League and staying in the hunt for a Conference League spot for next season; however, winning the former would let them play Champions League in the next campaign.
David Moyes would like to strengthen the squad to his specifications, which might involve him bringing in a right back. Vladimir Coufal’s and Ben Johnson’s futures are in serious doubt, with the duo having expiring contracts in the summer. However, the Hammers do have an option on the Czech international.
Either way, there are chances of at least one of those departing, with Johnson, in particular, likely to leave on a Bosman move as a replacement; West Ham is eyeing a move for Raoul Bellanova from Torino, with Hammers’ scouts watching the right-back in a recent game against Udinese.
Bellonova signed for around €7 million last summer; he has become an integral part of their team, with Torino demanding €25 million to sell him. Should they manage that, the Serie A side will make a terrific profit off his sale, although should the Hammers come into the equation, they will face competition from domestic rivals.
West Ham faces Bellanova competition
Bellanova’s performances have attracted a host of Premier League sides looking at his potential availability in the summer. The 23-year-old might view a move to England as a significant step up in his career, with reports that Aston Villa sought information about his availability.
Torino might not stand in the way of the 23-year-old should he ask the club to leave and join one of the Premier League sides. For West Ham to get ahead in the game, they might have to move fast and much ahead of their rivals.
