Saudi Pro League clubs ready to pay any price to sign Mohamed Salah

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from the club, and there have been links with Saudi Arabian clubs.

According to a report from Football Insider, big-spending Saudi Pro League clubs are prepared to pay big money to sign 31-year-old Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, and they have asked Liverpool to name their price.

The seven-season veteran is an exceptional player for Liverpool, and losing him would be a hammer blow for the Reds. Salah has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2025, and the Premier League side could be under pressure to sell him if he does not renew his contract with them.

Salah has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 19 goals across all competitions and picking up 10 assists along the way. Despite being 31, he is operating at a world-class level and his incredible fitness levels mean that he is likely to perform at a high level deep into his thirties.

He could be a key player for Liverpool in the coming seasons as well, and they should look to hold on to him for as long as possible. Liverpool will already lose their charismatic manager Jurgen Klopp in the summer, and losing Salah would be a double blow. But the seven-season veteran has insisted he does not want a move.

Salah is irreplaceable for Liverpool

The Egyptian has been an incredible performer for Liverpool, and he has helped them win every single trophy at club level. He could make a big difference for Liverpool in the coming seasons as well.

Liverpool are still lacking a consistent goalscorer, and they cannot afford to lose out on the end product of the Egyptian. Salah is an elite goalscorer and an elite creator for them. Keeping him at the club should be their top priority, and Liverpool must resist the temptation to cash in on him.

The must do everything in their power to convince the player of their ambitions and tie him down to a new long-term contract at the end of the season. Also, he is one of the best players in the world, and moving to the Saudi league at this stage of his career would be a mistake.
