Liverpool optimistic of agreeing new deals with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool are optimistic about extending the stay of their star trio of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

According to a report by Football Insider, Liverpool’s management are confident about reaching an agreement with their star trio over a new deal. With Jurgen Klopp leaving, there has been a lot of talk about the future of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold at the club.

However, the report suggests, the Reds are firmly in control of the situation. They are positive about convincing their star players who have been pivotal in their recent success to pen down an extension despite all the interest in them.

Salah has been linked with a move to the Middle East in the recent past. Saudi Pro League clubs will return for his services in the summer and with only a year left on his deal by then, the Reds won’t be in the driving seat. They will also be at the risk of losing their star for free if they decide against sanctioning his departure.

Despite the possibility of a departure as a free agent, the Reds are not worried about Salah leaving. Neither are they worried about Van Dijk or Alexander-Arnold as the duo’s contract also runs out in the summer of 2025.

There is no shortage of clubs for either of them but Liverpool feel they can build a new project that will convince them to stay despite the departure of Jurgen Klopp in the summer. The German manager’s decision to end his stint at Liverpool has come as a shock to one and all.

He has been one of the major reasons for their success and with his departure, reports have emerged that the players are considering their options. His departure is already a big blow, as a result, the club can’t afford to lose any of their key players at this stage.

Despite all that is going on in the background, the Merseyside club feel if they can show the right ambition in the new era, they will be able to convince the trio to pen down a new long-term deal committing their immediate future to the club.
