Crystal Palace, Newcastle United vying for Matias Soule

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on signing 20-year-old Argentine winger Matias Soule from Juventus.

A report from Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are monitoring the development of Matias Soule at Frosinone. The Premier League clubs could look to make a move for the 20-year-old in the near future.

The talented young Argentine is on loan from Juventus, and the Italian giants would be open to selling him if an offer of around €20-25 million is presented. Soule is a prodigious talent with a bright future ahead of him, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Newcastle.

The Magpies can do with a complement for Anthony Gordon, and Soule will add pace, flair and creativity to the side. He is capable of scoring consistently as well. The young winger has six goals to his name across all competitions this season. He could develop into a key player for Newcastle with the right guidance, and his signing would be a quality long-term investment.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace need to add more cutting edge in the final third as well. Michael Olise has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months, and the Eagles recently parted ways with Wilfried Zaha. Signing a quality young winger like Soule could prove to be a wise decision for them.

Both English clubs will be able to provide him with ample first-team action, and the opportunity to join them could be an attractive one for the player. It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace and Newcastle United can agree on a fee with Juventus now. The €20-25 million valuation seems quite reasonable for a player of his ability, and he could easily justify the investment in the long run.

Regular football in the Premier League could help the Argentine attacker fulfil his tremendous potential. Eddie Howe could help him develop further with coaching and guidance. Newcastle will be hoping to secure Champions League qualification this season, and improving their attacking options in January by signing Soule would be a wise decision.
