Tottenham Hotspur are ready to fork out €30 million to acquire the services of 28-year-old AS Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante.
According to a report by Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Bryan Cristante in their ranks. The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer for AS Roma over the years, and Spurs are looking to land him at the club in the summer of 2024. They are prepared to cough up €30 million to land the midfielder.
Cristante joined AS Roma in the summer of 2018 on a season-long loan deal. The move was made permanent a year later. Over the years, he has gone from strength to strength and has been a great servant of the club.
The Italian international has featured in 244 matches for Roma and has also contributed towards 29 goals. He has been used as a central midfielder, a defensive midfielder and a centre-back by the Serie A club of late. Irrespective of his role, the 28-year-old has also produced consistent performances.
He has been a go-to man for Jose Mourinho over the past few years. In the ongoing season, he has featured in 16 matches and has been on the pitch for almost 1,400 minutes. Cristante has even contributed towards five goals.
Cristante’s versatility, and consistent performances have attracted attention from the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur are quite interested in his services. Ange Postecoglou has got off to a great start at Spurs, but he is well aware of the fact that there is still a lot of work to do.
The manager along with the people at the club have started planning things for the future. While they are focused on the winter window, they have started planning for the summer of 2024 as well. They want to reinforce their midfield next summer, and Cristante is a key target for them.
The North London club feels he is a perfect fit for the club, and they are keen on having him in their ranks. His arrival will give Postecoglou multiple options to work with. As a result, they are ready to put forward an offer worth €30 million to sign him ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Cristante’s contract with Roma runs until the summer of 2027, and he is an integral part of their first team under Jose Mourinho. While they would love to have him in their ranks for years to come, a €30 million offer won’t be easy to reject.
