Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on acquiring the services of 22-year-old Atalanta playmaker Charles De Ketelaere.
According to a report by Fichajes, Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in the services of Charles De Ketelaere. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has managed to revive his career at Atalanta, and his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed.
Charles De Ketelaere came through the ranks at Club Brugge and made quite a name for himself. His impressive rise and consistent performances resulted in a move to AC Milan in the summer of 2022. But things did not go according to plan for him at Milan.
He featured in a total of 40 matches for them during the 2022/23 season but was on the pitch for less than 1,500 minutes. The Belgian international could only contribute towards one goal. After his disappointing first season at the Serie A club, they parted ways with him in the summer. Fellow Serie A club Atalanta managed to acquire his services on a season-long loan with an option buy.
Since making the move in the summer, he has featured in 14 matches and has contributed towards four goals. The 22-year-old has revived himself and his impressive performances at Atalanta haven’t gone unnoticed. Manchester United and Arsenal are two clubs from England that are keen on having him in their ranks.
Both Premier League giants are always on the lookout for players that can help them improve. And, they feel the 22-year-old has huge potential and he could be a great addition to their ranks for the long term.
Manchester United have struggled in the ongoing season and they do need reinforcement. They lack creativity in attack and they need someone who can support Bruno Fernandes. The 22-year-old Belgian seems to be an ideal candidate.
While the Gunners have been doing a great job over the past two seasons, Mikel Arteta is still on the lookout for players who can help them win major titles, and the Atalanta midfielder seems to be a perfect fit.
