Liverpool, Everton vying for Assan Ouedraogo

Liverpool and Everton a reportedly interested in signing 17-year-old German midfielder Assan Ouedraogo from Schalke.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are interested in Assan Ouedraogo. Everton are also interested in the 17-year-old German midfielder. Meanwhile, FC Schalke 04 will demand around €20 million to part ways with him.

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly keen on the player as well. The 17-year-old is already a key player for Schalke in the second division of German football, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class player.

There is no doubt that he could be an important investment from Liverpool in the near future. It remains to be seen whether the Reds can beat the competition from their Premier League rivals and sign the player now.

They certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done, and they should be able to attract the 17-year-old as well. The opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world can be hard to turn down. The youngster will be tempted to make the move if there is a concrete proposal on the table.

Furthermore, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a proven track record of nurturing talented young players into established first-team footballers. He could help the 17-year-old develop further and fulfil his world-class potential in the coming seasons.

Ouedraogo is unlikely to be a regular starter for Liverpool immediately, and he is likely to be a long-term investment. It remains to be seen whether he will join up with the youth squad at Liverpool if the transfer goes through.

Liverpool could certainly use more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to come forward with an offer in January. Meanwhile, Everton will be hoping to improve their squad in the coming season as well. The 17-year-old could develop into a key player for them, and it remains to be seen whether the Toffees can convince him to move to Goodison Park.

Everton have been fighting the relegation battle over the last couple of seasons, and they need quality players in order to scale higher up the table. Although moving to Everton would be a step up from the second division of German football, joining them over Liverpool seems unlikely.
