According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are interested in Assan Ouedraogo. Everton are also interested in the 17-year-old German midfielder. Meanwhile, FC Schalke 04 will demand around €20 million to part ways with him.
Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly keen on the player as well. The 17-year-old is already a key player for Schalke in the second division of German football, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class player.
There is no doubt that he could be an important investment from Liverpool in the near future. It remains to be seen whether the Reds can beat the competition from their Premier League rivals and sign the player now.
They certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done, and they should be able to attract the 17-year-old as well.
