Baichung Bhutia scored a goal as United Sikkim thumped Eagles FC 7-2.

Anandabazar Patrika has published an editorial which looks at refereeing controversies, which never look to end. According to that editorial referees in India do not have proper technological assistance to make error free decisions. They are paid a paltry sum of Rs. 1200 per match and are most often made scrapegoats for a team’s poor performance. There is also lack of understanding among Indian footballers about rules of the game, especially the offside trap. In start of this year’s Kolkata Football League, the local Referees Association repotedly sent a letter to every big club voluteering to take a class to educate players about the rules. None of the clubs responded to that offer.

East Bengal was scheduled to play a match on Tuesday in Kolkata League but they have declined to do it as I-League fixtures are still going on. KFL dates for rest of the matches are yet to be declared.

Some more complications have risen regarding the Premier League Soccer as it appears that the clubs or organizations which have bought the franchisees do not have proper registration with local football governing bodies. The pressure is increasing on IFA to give registration to franchisees. The process is reportedly a time consuming process. Any delay in registering the clubs can hamper start of the glitzy football tournament.

Velroy Dias scored a hattrick as Dunes SC defeated Holiday SC 5-0 in GFA U14 League. Sporting Clube de Goa pulverized Santo Estevam SC 17-0 with Dwayne Britto scoing 5 goals and Ryan D’Costa snatching a hattrick.
