Riccardo Orsolini emerged on Fulham’s radar, with Marco Silva likely to bring a wide attacker before the window shuts.
According to Calciomercato, Fulham are reportedly interested in Riccardo Orsolini and could approach to sign the Torino winger. The 26-year-old Serie, A attacker has a year left on his deal and is coming at the back of his best-ever campaign.
Fulham are yet to make some more moves in the transfer market, with Marco Silva looking at several options to improve his squad. A new wide attacker, defender and possibly a midfielder might arrive. A striker could also become a possibility if the manager decides to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Serb will soon make his move to Saudi Arabia formal, and Fulham could make a move for a new striker. Silva will also focus on a wide attacking option to bolster his depth, as he’s yet to sign someone to replace Manor Solomon.
A few defenders are also linked, with Rennes star Arthur Theate and Manchester United’s Eric Bailly targets for Fulham. Now they are also targetting Torino winger Riccardo Orsolini as a potential arrival before the close of the window.
Orsolini had the best season of his career and scored 11 times in the league last time. There’s considerable interest from Serie A giants, but he might get tempted by the prospect of the Premier League. Fulham are keen and could look at him as a viable alternative to Demarai Gray, who had agreed on personal terms, but a move seems far from concluding.
Fulham also had Folarin Balogun in their plans, but the Arsenal star’s huge asking price may have led Orsolini into their thinking. The 26-year-old Serie, A attacker has a year left on his deal and does not intend to extend his contract with Torino.
Hence, the Serie A side may see a sale as the best decision in these circumstances. Fulham might have to make a compelling offer to tempt Torino into a sale, although the interest of other Italian sides could help drive the price.
Orsolini seems like a viable target and possibly a cheaper alternative to other names. The 26-year-old could also give his green light to move to London, possibly putting Fulham in the driving seat over other suitors.
