Soon, Bayern Munich entered the fray. The German giants might won the Bundesliga last season but struggled throughout. And the lack of a world-class number nine was quite clear. Their star man Robert Lewandowski had left the club for Barcelona, but they failed to replace him last summer and ended up paying the price in the UEFA Champions League.
As a result, their priority throughout this transfer window was to sign a new number nine. Bayern were keen on having Kane in their ranks. They believed he could be their starman up top. The 30-year-old would bring a lot of attention, given that he is the England skipper and a global superstar.
