Tottenham set to sign Manor Solomon

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to sign versatile Israeli attacker Manor Solomon, who will sign a five-year deal with Spurs.

Manor Solomon was on loan at Fulham, last season and he managed to impress with his performances. According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have now agreed on a five-year contract with the 23-year-old attacker, who now is a free agent this summer.

Solomon’s contract with Shakhtar Donetsk was due to expire in December 2023. But a recent FIFA ruling will allow foreign players in Russia and Ukraine to suspend their contracts because of the hostilities between the two countries.

Solomon could prove me a quality acquisition for Tottenham, who are in need of attacking reinforcements. Players like Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Arnaut Danjuma were quite underwhelming last season. So Tottenham need to bring in players who can share the attacking burden with Harry Kane.

Solomon will certainly add goals, creativity and flair to the side. He will complete his medical with Spurs soon and seal a contract until 2028. Super agent Pini Zahavi is involved in the transfer. The 23-year-old will be looking to prove himself at the highest level and the opportunity to play for a big club like Tottenham will be interesting for him.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou prefers an attacking approach, and Solomon would be a good fit for his style of football. Signing the 23-year-old attacker on a free transfer represents an outstanding bit of business from the North London club.

The player is already used to English football, having played for Fulham. So he should be able to make an immediate impact at Tottenham next season. There is no doubt that he could develop into a key player for the London club in the coming seasons.

The 23-year-old is still quite young and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. Solomon will be hoping to establish himself as a key player for Tottenham and hold down a regular starting spot next season.

Signing a player of his quality on a free transfer will allow Tottenham to invest in the other areas of their squad as well. They have already signed James Maddison to improve their attack and the arrival of Solomon will only add to that. Spurs will be delighted to get back into the Champions League, and signings like Maddison and Solomon will certainly aid their cause.
