Manchester United are all set to push for the services of 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, who is on the radar of Liverpool.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United have entered the race for the signatures of 24-year-old Mason Mount. The Chelsea midfielder’s future is uncertain, and he could be on the move in the summer. There are multiple top clubs from across Europe that would love to have him in their ranks.

Mount has been a part of the Chelsea setup since his childhood days. He has come up the ranks at the club and has become an integral part of their first team setup. The 24-year-old played a key role in helping them win the Champions League a few seasons back.

But, with his contract set to expire in the summer, and the England international could be on the move in the upcoming window. The Blues have tried extending his deal on multiple occasions of late but have failed to get it over the line.

Mauricio Pochettino, who is set to take charge of the Blues ahead of next season, is a big fan of Mount. And, the Argentine wants him at the club next season. However, it is unlikely that Chelsea will be able to successfully renew his deal.

With just over a year left on his deal, the Blues don’t really have many options to play with. They will not risk losing him for free in the following summer. As a result, they might be forced to sell him to one of their rival clubs in England.

Liverpool have been closely following the situation for a while now. The Merseyside club will look to rebuild their midfield in the summer. With a few of their senior players all set to leave the club, they will look to sign multiple midfielders.

And, Mount is one of their targets. However, they are all set to face tough competition from United. Erik ten Hag is keen on having the England international in his ranks. He wants to bolster his midfield as they look to push for the Premier League title next season.

The Red Devils are all set to place a bid of £55 million for the 24-year-old. But, their valuation of the Chelsea midfielder will fall well below the Blues’ valuation. The London club want around £85 million for the England international and United are open to the idea of increasing their bid as Ten Hag is desperate to have Mount at his disposal ahead of next season.
