Ibrahima Konate will replace Joel Matip when Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotpsur at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool have been in impressive form over the last few matches and they will be looking to extend that run when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield on Sunday evening. On the other hand, Spurs come into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Manchester United and will look to pull off an upset after showing an impressive fightback against the Red Devils.
The Reds will be without youngsters Calvin Ramsay and Stefan Bajcetic, with both players ruled out for the remainder of the season. Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are back in training. But it remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp is willing to handle them some minutes in the game.
Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino remains sidelined with an injury, and the Brazilian will return towards the end of the season. Ibrahima Konate missed the match against West Ham United, but the Frenchman is set to return here. Klopp confirmed the same during his pre-match press conference.
The German tactician said, “Ibou will be back. I guess Naby [Keita] will train today – I didn’t get the medical report yet, but probably. Ox [Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain] is in training. No-one else [is back].”

“We have a couple of players out, everybody knows about them, but on top of that from the last game… Diogo got a bad knock in his back but should be alright, we will see how that developed. Apart from that we should be OK.”
Liverpool are likely to press ahead with their usual 4-3-3 formation, with Alisson Becker in goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will look to continue their impressive run of form and influence the game in both phases of play.
The full-back duo will look to help create goalscoring opportunities while aiding the centre-backs defensively as well. Meanwhile, Konate is expected to partner Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence.
As for the midfield unit, Fabinho will look to win the ball back and provide defensive cover to the central defenders. Meanwhile, Thiago Alcantara and Curtis Jones will look to add creativity and control to the side. So Jordan Henderson will miss out again this weekend.
Diogo Jota will start on the left of the front three, and he will look to continue his recent goalscoring form. Mohamed Salah will continue on the right, with Cody Gakpo leading the line for the Reds. So Darwin Nunez will be an option off the bench against Tottenham on Sunday.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Thiago, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota
