Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto is reportedly on the transfer radar of Premier League giants Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed to Caught Offside that Arsenal wanted to sign Neto last summer and have been following him ever since. While they are yet to make a concrete move for the player, the 23-year-old could be a target for them this summer.
“Pedro Neto was on Arsenal’s list last summer and Arsenal usually (I mean in general) always keep following players they appreciate, let’s see if they will return; at this stage nothing concrete is happening yet, despite rumours.”
Neto has had a difficult campaign with Wolves this season. His season has been plagued with injuries. The 23-year-old winger has played just 758 minutes of first-team football in the Premier League this season.
He will be hoping to get his career back on track with regular football and look to get over his fitness issues as well. Prior to his injury problem, the Portuguese international was a key player for Wolves and his performances caught the attention of a number of clubs.
There is no doubt that the 23-year-old could be a solid acquisition for Arsenal in the summer. However, the player has a contract with Wolves until the summer of 2027, and the Molineux outfit are under no pressure to sell him this summer. Arsenal would probably have to come forward with a lucrative offer in order to change their mind.
Wolves will be hoping to hold on to their key players beyond the season, and keeping Neto at the club will be a priority for them. The 23-year-old is versatile enough to play in a number of attacking roles and he could be an important squad option for Arsenal.
The Gunners have not been able to rotate players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli this season because of the lack of attacking options. Mikel Arteta must look to bring in players who will help him shuffle his pack next season.

Arsenal will be competing in the Champions League, and they need a deeper squad. Neto can play on either flank and he would be a handy option to have. The 23-year-old Portuguese international will add pace and flair in the final third for Arsenal. The Gunners might win the Premier League title this season, and the opportunity to play for them is likely to be an attractive option for the 23-year-old.
