Darwin Nunez and Thiago Alcantara will start when Liverpool take on West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday.
Liverpool come into the game against West Ham United on the back of consecutive victories in the league, and they will be looking to keep that form going. But Jurgen Klopp has a few issues to deal with ahead of the trip to the London Stadium on Wednesday.
Liverpool are without two youngsters Calvin Ramsay and Stefan Bajcetic. Both players have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate has been struggling with a niggle. But the Frenchman is expected to feature here.
Speaking on Konate during his pre-match press conference, Klopp said, “Ibou, we need to see how it is with him but in the moment I am rather positive but that doesn’t mean a lot. From possible starters I think that’s it.”
Meanwhile, Klopp has confirmed that Roberto Firmino is still not ready to return. In addition, Guinean midfielder Naby Keita will have to work on his match fitness before he can start for the side.

On Keita, he said, “If everything goes well I think he could be in partial training today [Tuesday]. That’s what I heard yesterday. He was not in team training yet but he could do warming up, if we do rondos he could do that and then he has again to do his own programme. So it means, yes, [he is] much closer, much, much closer.”
On Firmino, he added, “We are still thinking that… this week, no, I hope that at the end of the week he is closer, but so far he was not in team training, so that’s it.”
Alisson Becker will continue in goal for Liverpool, with a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Virgil, van Dijk, and Andrew Robertson ahead of him. Alexander-Arnold and Robertson were quite impressive with their chance creation in the last couple of matches. And the duo will look to influence the game in the final third and help out the central defenders as well.
Thiago Alcantara is likely to be handed a start here after gaining his match fitness in the last couple of outings. The Spanish international will start alongside Fabinho and Curtis Jones. While the Brazilian will look to break up the opposition’s play, Jones will look to add creativity and work rate to the side.
Darwin Nunez has been reduced to cameos in his last two matches, and the Uruguayan international is likely to start here as the centre forward. Diogo Jota will start on the left after scoring four goals in his last two outings with Mohamed Salah on the right.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Thiago, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Jota, Nunez
