Premier League leaders Arsenal are interested in signing 22-year-old French right-back Sacha Boey ahead of next season.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Arsenal are keen on acquiring the services of Sacha Boey in the summer. The 22-year-old French right-back has been doing wonders in the Super Lig, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. A lot of clubs from across Europe would love to have him in their ranks.
Boey spent the majority of his youth career at French club Rennes. He came through the ranks at the club and was also subject to a loan move at Dijon to gain first-team experience. After an impressive loan spell at Dijon, Turkish club Galatasaray bought him in the summer of 2021.
The 22-year-old has since gone from strength to strength. And, he has managed to attract a lot of attention on the back of his performances. Boey has featured in a total of 42 matches for the Super Lig club and has three goal contributions to his name.
As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the France Under-21 star has featured in 23 matches and has two assists to his name. He has been impressive with his defensive work rate and has been a constant attacking threat from the right-hand side.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have kept a close eye on the 22-year-old French right-back. Mikel Arteta has done a great job in the ongoing season. The Gunners are currently leading the race for the Premier League title. However, he has identified a few key areas that need reinforcement.
Arteta is keen on strengthening the right side of the Arsenal defence. While Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have done a decent job at the right-back slot, the manager wants to add an attacking young right-sided full-back.
Boey is a young pacey full-back who loves to join the attack. His arrival will strengthen Arteta’s squad and will allow him to have a more attacking approach. While Boey’s contract at Galatasaray runs until the summer of 2025, he is likely to move to a bigger club in the summer given the amount of interest in his services.
Arteta is keen on having the 22-year-old in his ranks. But it won’t be that easy a task. A lot of big clubs have their eyes on the French full-back, and they will surely make it difficult for the Premier League leaders Arsenal.
