West Ham United are interested in signing Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire from Manchester United ahead of next season.
According to a report by Football Insider, West Ham United want to raid Manchester United for three first-team players. The Hammers are interested in securing the services of Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, and Harry Maguire. David Moyes admires all three of them and would love to add them to his ranks.
It has been a struggle for West Ham in the ongoing season. They are currently 16th in the league and are fighting for survival. If they manage to survive, Moyes’s men will enter the market in search of quite a few reinforcements.
David Moyes will look to add new players in different areas of the pitch, and as per the reports, he is keen on having the Manchester United trio at his disposal. He believes their arrival could bolster his squad and help them revive themselves.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are flying high in the ongoing season and have managed to win a trophy and are still in the race for three more. Erik ten Hag has done a wonderful job at Old Trafford. But, post his arrival, a few of their regulars have fallen down the pecking order.
Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire are two players who have not had much game time in the ongoing season. Meanwhile, Anthony Martial has been on the sidelines due to injury.
McTominay, who has graduated from the Manchester United academy, has not been that impressive and is no longer a regular in the team. Ten Hag will look to add more quality to his midfield in the summer, and as a result, he might have to leave for greener pastures.
Similarly, Maguire, who joined Manchester United from Leicester City in 2019, is no longer the first choice. He is likely to push for a move away from the club.
Meanwhile, Martial is struggling with injuries. He has already missed 21 matches in the ongoing season due to injuries. His United career has slowed down over the past few seasons. With ten Hag set to sign new forwards in the summer, he might also look for opportunities elsewhere.
However, it won’t be an easy task for West Ham United. They will face competition from elsewhere for all three players. And, even Maguire’s lofty wages will be a concern for the Hammers. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to land the United trio at the club ahead of next season.
