And the players will be looking to make amends here. The FA Cup is Liverpool’s best chance of winning a trophy this season, and they will look to put up a fight against Wolves.
The Reds have lost three of their last four away games, and this will be a difficult outing for them. Wolves tormented them at Anfield, and the hosts will fancy their chances here as well.
Liverpool will be without the services of Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Arthur Melo, and Roberto Firmino because of injuries. Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that James Milner and Stefan Bajcetic are fit for the game. He also added that Darwin Nunez is close to a return.

During his pre-match press conference, Klopp said, “[There is] progress with all. Darwin is very close, but it’s Monday and tomorrow is the game, [but] he’s very close. Millie and Stefan trained fully. Millie was on the bench [at Brighton] and Stefan is now available again. That’s it.”
Alisson Becker is set to start in goal against Wolves. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will start as the full-backs, and they will look to add creativity from the wide areas. Joe Gomez should partner with Ibrahima Konate at the back.
Harvey Elliott will be expected to add craft and flair alongside Thiago Alcantara in the middle of the park. The Spaniard will look to control the tempo of the game, while Fabinho will look to break up the play and anchor the midfield.
As for the offensive unit, Cody Gakpo is set to lead the line for Liverpool against Wolves. Mohamed Salah will likely start on the right flank, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will start on the left. Firmino and Nunez should be options on the bench if they are fit enough to be in the matchday squad.
