Crystal Palace interested in Sacha Boey

Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Crystal Palace interested.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Sacha Boey is thought to be a target for Premier League side Crystal Palace, who are hoping to sign the talented young French full-back in January.

The 22-year-old has established himself as a key player for Galatasaray, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to sell him in January. The defender has a contract until the summer of 2025, meaning Galatasaray are under no pressure to let him leave right now. It is fair to assume that Crystal Palace will have to come forward with a substantial offer to tempt them to sell their star defender.

The Eagles could definitely use more depth at the back, and Boey could prove to be a quality long-term signing for them. Patrick Vieira has shown a willingness to bring in talented young players, and Crystal Palace have already integrated several talented young players into their first team since Vieira’s arrival.

Boey would be another quality long-term signing for them if they manage to pull it off. However, Crystal Palace are not the only club keen on signing the player in January. German club Eintracht Frankfurt are thought to be keen on securing the young defender’s services as well.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League is an attractive proposition for most players, and the talented young Frenchman could be tempted to move to Crystal Palace if there is a concrete offer on the table. Boey was linked with a move to the Premier League before as well, and it remains to be seen whether the player can secure a transfer to England this time around.

Crystal Palace certainly have the financial resources to pull off the move. So it will be interesting to see if they can tempt the Turkish outfit over the next few weeks.

A move to the Premier League would be a major step up in the player’s career, and he would get to showcase his quality is a higher level. Furthermore, playing alongside better attackers in the Premier League will only accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

Although the Turkish outfit are under no pressure to sell the 22-year-old right-back right now, they could be forced to consider a sale if Boey decides to angle for a move in January.
