Queens Park Rangers are reportedly eyeing an ambitious triple swoop for Tottenham Hotspur youth prospects Harvey White, Troy Parrott and Kion Etete.
According to a report from Football Insider, Queens Park Rangers have launched an eye-catching operation to sign Tottenham Hotspur trifecta Harvey White, Troy Parrott and Kion Etete. The Championship club believe each of these three youngsters are capable of improving their game further and becoming an asset in the Championship.
QPR have an excellent relationship with Tottenham and are apparently in talks with the club over the singing of these three players in the summer. The negotiations are being led by the club’s Under-23 coach Paul Hall, as he looks to reinforce his team’s options ahead of the new season.
Tottenham pale in comparison to their league rivals like Arsenal and Liverpool when it comes to the development of youth players. However, in recent years, they have produced multiple talents who have shown immense potential and can become an asset for the first team.
Harvey White tops the list, having made an impression with his technical skill and passing range. A central midfielder by trade, the youngster has performed consistently in the club’s reserve team and it remains a mystery as to why he is yet to make a single league appearance for Tottenham this term.
Troy Parrott, meanwhile, was decried as the ideal long-term replacement for Harry Kane when he initially broke through the ranks at Tottenham. But he has since had to go through multiple loan spells and is currently plying his trade with MK Dons, scoring eight goals in 40 Championship matches so far.
Kion Etete is facing a similar situation. A striker by trade, the youngster has played for two clubs on loan this season: Northampton and Cheltenham. He is currently involved in the Cheltenham side but has featured in only 13 league games, scoring three goals.
QPR want to sign all of these three players in the new season, either on loan or on permanent deals. Currently hovering in mid-table, the Hoops believe they can help nurture these young talents and make them ready for Premier League action all the while reinforcing their ranks ahead of the new season.
Tottenham are unlikely to have any problems sanctioning the exit of these three players, although White could end up remaining in north London in light of the club’s apparent lack of depth in the midfield unit. That said, with Spurs linked with several midfielders, like Aurelien Tchouameni, a loan move could be the best way forward.
