Roberto Firmino is an injury doubt, while Thiago Alcantara could be rested as Liverpool get set to take on Everton in the Premier League.
Liverpool will be aiming to close down the gap to Manchester City to just one point when they lock horns with local rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday.
Heading into the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that his squad has no fresh injury concerns. However, Roberto Firmino remains a slight doubt due to a foot injury he picked up in the FA Cup semi-finals last weekend.

Updating on the Brazilian’s condition in his presser, Klopp said, “And Bobby, getting better and better. It’s just uncomfortable, painful. Today it’s his first day on the pitch, so there’s still two days to go, so maybe. If Bobby gives the thumbs-up then he will be involved. And not, then we wait another few days, but then I think after that it should be possible.”
With the game coming only days before Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League semi-finals against Villarreal, there could be a few changes made to the lineup that defeated Manchester United in midweek.
One of the changes could see Ibrahima Konate feature alongside Virgil van Dijk in defence, at the expense of Joel Matip. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are undisputed starters as the full-backs for Liverpool against Everton. Alisson Becker will continue guarding the goal for the Reds.
Moving into the middle of the park, Thiago Alcantara put on a masterclass against Manchester United in midweek. But Klopp might decide not to risk him on Sunday to keep him fresh for the Villarreal clash. It could pave the way for Naby Keita to start in midfield alongside Fabinho and Jordan Henderson when Everton come visiting.
In the attacking third of the pitch, Mohamed Salah should hold on to his place on the right flank as he looks to build up his form ahead of the final run-in this season. Luis Diaz, who has been a revelation since arriving in January, should also be retained in the starting XI. But Sadio Mane could be given a rest ahead of the Villarreal game. With Firmino a doubt, Diogo Jota is likely to replace the Senegalese speedster.
Liverpool Predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Keita, Salah, Jota, Diaz
