Liverpool are likely to recall Joel Matip, Diogo Jota and Jordan Henderson to the lineup when they host rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Tuesday.
Liverpool will be aiming to move to the top of the Premier League standings when they lock horns with bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Coming on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals, Jurgen Klopp has no fresh injury concerns and will be able to pick from a fully-fit roster. The German tactician spoke about his team selection and the thought process that goes behind it during his pre-match presser.

“You try to figure out how it is, you try what is [the] best possible formation. We have to think about intensity in the past, who played how often and all these kinds of things. We didn’t have that situation too often. Usually in that part of the season we are already on three wheels and try to get somehow through, so hopefully we have to make these decisions until the end of the season.”
There are likely to be a few changes made to the team that took the field against Manchester City over the weekend. The first of these alterations should come in defence, where Joel Matip could be reinstated to the lineup. Ibrahima Konate, who was on target against the Cityzens, will likely be the casualty.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and Virgil van Dijk ought to complete the backline for Liverpool, while Alisson Becker is a guaranteed starter for the Reds under the crossbar.
We could also see a change in the middle of the park, with captain Jordan Henderson in contention to return to the starting XI. The English international was overlooked in favour of Naby Keita at the weekend but should start on Tuesday. It will be a landmark occasion for Henderson as he would be making his 400th career league appearance should he feature.
The rest of the two midfield slots are unlikely to be tinkered with as Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara keep their places for Liverpool against Manchester United.
Finally, moving into the attacking third of the pitch, Diogo Jota could be given a starting berth after being benched for the last match. The Portuguese forward ought to replace Luis Diaz, with Sadio Mane and the misfiring Mohamed Salah expected to hold on to their places in the side. Roberto Firmino would be an option from the bench again.
