Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly joined the race to sign in-demand Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay, who is also a target for Liverpool.
According to Calciomercato, the race to sign Calvin Ramsay is heating up with Eintracht Frankfurt becoming the latest club to express their desire to secure his services this summer. The 18-year-old Aberdeen whizkid is considered one of the most in-demand players in the Scottish market, with many expecting him to join a bigger club after the end of the season.
Liverpool have been primarily linked with a move for Ramsay, with Jurgen Klopp keen on shoring up his options in the fullback department. But it appears they are set to face fresh competition from Eintracht Frankfurt, who have built a solid profile in Europe after beating FC Barcelona in the Europa League quarter-finals.
A native of the city, Ramsay has become one of the rising stars in the Scottish Premiership this season. With 22 league appearances, the Scottish right-back has become an ever-present figure in Aberdeen’s senior squad, notably racking up five assists.
The 18-year-old whizkid’s impressive numbers are indicative of his ability to provide the attacking support out wide. The youngster is athletic enough to keep up with the opposition attackers as well, though he is yet to be tested at the highest level of football.
