The Inter Milan midfielder received praise from Jurgen Klopp during the midweek encounter in the UEFA Champions League, and it won’t be surprising to see Liverpool enquiring about the possibility of signing him in the summer.
A product of the Cagliari youth academy, Barella has been a consistent performer for Inter since joining the club in 2019. In just two and a half years, the Italian has become one of the best midfielders in Serie A, racking up 122 competitive appearances for Inter.
A number eight by trade, Barella’s ability to carry the ball and evade the opposition press has made him a sought-after figure in European football. He is quite useful in the final third as well, with the player notably being involved in a total of 40 goals during his time at Inter. His performances were even crucial in helping the Nerazzurri lift the Scudetto last season.
