Antonio Conte suggests he is more committed than ever in his role at Tottenham after talks with Daniel Levy following his recent outburst.
Antonio Conte has allayed fears over his future as the manager of Tottenham after a recent outburst following his team’s defeat to Burnley in the Premier League. The former Inter Milan and Juventus boss made headlines when he asked the club to assess his role following the 1-0 loss.
There were concerns Conte might quit at the end of the season or even before that, after Spurs’ fourth loss in five league games. However, since that interview, during which he criticised the team’s performances and played down their chances of securing Champions League football next year, the manager reiterated his dedication to the club.
Before Tottenham face Leeds in the Premier League, the Italian boss himself has come out and insisted he will not be leaving north London. His comments about his future appeared on Sky Sports, where Conte stated he was more committed than ever to Spurs following positive talks with club chairman Daniel Levy.

Conte said, “I spoke with Daniel. I don’t like that someone tries to create a problem between the club and me because this is not true. Believe me; this is not the truth. Our chairman Daniel Levy knows very well that I am here to help the club in every moment, and I will help the club until the end. This is the reality, and he knows this.
“He knows that we are working very hard and he has great consideration about my job, about the job of my staff. We speak. I want to help the club in every aspect with my vision and my idea, and my ideas about football for improvement. I repeat, there is no problem.
“He shows me great consideration every day, and for this reason, I’m much more committed for this club because I know the consideration of the club about myself is very, very high. The club is very happy with my work and what I am doing with my staff. I am sure the club appreciates what we are doing. The problem is, I am a perfectionist. When I lose I don’t stay so happy, this has helped me have success in my career.”
With results not going their way of late, Tottenham need to turn things around at the earliest. A game against a struggling Leeds United provides Conte’s side the perfect opportunity to bounce back in a strong manner.
