Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a Bosman move for Nantes forward Randal Kolo Muani, who is also a target for Bayern Munich.
According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in the services of Randal Kolo Muani. The 22-year-old French forward has become a subject of interest for multiple top clubs across Europe due to the duration of his Nantes contract that expires at the end of the season.
Muani is widely expected to leave Nantes next season, opening up the passage for clubs to potentially snap him up on a pre-contractual agreement. Tottenham are already involved in the race to sign the tall centre-forward, who has become a target for Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich, Borussia Monchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt as well.
A product of the Nantes youth academy, Muani has been a part of the club since 2015. However, it was not until the 2020/21 campaign when the 22-year-old made his full breakthrough in Ligue 1, thanks in part to a successful loan spell at US Boulogne in the 2019/20 season.
His eight-goal involvements in 13 matches at Boulogne got him noticed in the first place, tempting Nantes to try the French forward out in the first team last season.
Muani did not disappoint either, scoring nine goals and registering eight assists in 37 league outings. His goal in the relegation playoff was vital in helping Nantes retain their top-flight status last season, while the attacker has been involved in five goals in ten matches in the new season so far.
Although a centre-forward by trade, the 22-year-old Frenchman has made a name for himself with his versatility in the final third. He can play on both flanks and combine with attacking teammates to create scoring opportunities in the final third.
In many ways, Kolo Muani is the exact opposite of one of Tottenham’s top offensive targets in Paul Onuachu, who is more of a traditional goalscorer. Muani himself is no slouch, though, and boasts a 1.87m frame that could be useful in both aerial and physical duels, essentially making him an excellent all-round number nine.
Frankfurt have even approached Muani over a Bosman move to Commerzbank Arena next summer. However, they are yet to agree personal terms with the French striker, which indicates that Tottenham must act swiftly if they are to secure the services of the Nantes frontman next season.
