Liverpool are on the brink of progressing into the next round of the Champions League, and Andrew Robertson has been impressed with his team’s form so far.
Andrew Robertson has been one of the best performing stars under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp in the last few seasons. The full-back was integral in helping the club win the Champions League in 2018/19 and then the Premier League in 2019/20, and he looks forward to more success on the pitch this season.
The left-back has been speaking to the media and seems impressed by his side’s performances and form in the Champions League so far this term. Liverpool feature in Group B, which is touted as one of the toughest this season. AC Milan. Atletico Madrid and FC Porto are all part of it, and Liverpool have beaten them all thus far.
The Reds have set a perfect record till now, securing victories in all of their three games. This week, they played an entertaining match against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano, beating Diego Simeone’s men in a crunch encounter. Before that, they routed Porto by five goals and opened the campaign with a tough win at home against AC Milan.
Liverpool now find themselves at the very edge of progression into the next round, as another win will certainly guarantee them a place in the round of 16. They are the favourites to finish as group winners, and Andrew Roberton hopes to lift the trophy once more, possibly this season.

Transfer Market Web posted some of Robertson’s comments on their ongoing season in the Champions League, with the Liverpool defender revelling in his team’s current form.
Robertson said, “It’s such a good start to the campaign, but now it’s important that we see it through, and we qualify with as many games to go. If it’s possible to qualify in the next game, we want to do it, of course. It’s always easier when you can do it with two games left or one game left, but the aim is still to qualify and hopefully finish top of the group – but it’s a really tough group.”
“To get the nine points to start, it’s a fantastic start, and we know Atletico don’t get beat here very often. The fact we’ve come away with the points is the most important thing. An ugly win, but sometimes they’re the better ones.”
“To get nine points out of nine is so important. We’ve now got them back at Anfield in a couple of weeks, and we need to probably play better than we did and hopefully be as clinical as we were. Hopefully, that will be enough to see us through.”
The Merseysiders will next face Atletico Madrid again at Anfield on 4th November. A victory in that clash will ensure their progression, as Klopp and his players aim for Champions League triumph this season.
