Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has showered star forward Mohamed Salah with huge praise after he scored his 100th Premier League goal for the club.
Speaking after Liverpool played out a 3-3 draw against Brentford on Saturday (h/t ECHO), the Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp has lavished praises on his superstar forward Mohamed Salah for his latest achievement.
Salah, who arrived at Liverpool from AS Roma in a deal worth £34 million in 2017, has become one of the greatest player’s in the club’s history. The 29-year-old Egyptian had a huge role to play in the Reds’ UEFA Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup triumphs in recent years.
Apart from the trophies with the club, Salah has also won several personal awards and accolades, including the Premier League Golden Boot on two occasions. And, on Saturday, even as Liverpool played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against newly-promoted Brentford, the 29-year-old struck his 100th Premier League goal for the club, doing so in 151 games – the fastest by any Reds player.
The latest milestone came only weeks after he had scored his 100th Premier League goal overall, and Klopp spoke of his key superstar in glowing terms.

“Two weeks ago he scored 100 in the league, now 100 (in the league) for Liverpool. We gave him already the shirt with 100 on the back, so maybe we now have to give him another one! But exceptional. We all know in the future when people look back, people will speak about some players in this team 100% and 100% about Mo Salah because his numbers here are insane and incredible,” Klopp said.
“But I know Mo. And he is now sitting in the dressing room and thinking about the two chances that he missed or didn’t take. Maybe next time he will the quickest player to score 150 goals. It is an absolutely outstanding achievement, no doubt,” he further added.
While Klopp was full of praise for his ward, the Reds will be disappointed after having failed to pick up all three points against Brentford. With rivals Manchester United and Chelsea losing their respective matches, a win would have allowed Liverpool to stretch their lead at the top, but that was not to be.
