Transfer News: Manchester United target Omer Beyaz insists on developing career at Fenerbahce

Omer Beyaz was on the radar of Manchester United but has handed them a huge blow as the young Turk admits he has no plans of leaving Fenerbahce.

As per a report published by The Sun, Fenerbahce’s Omer Beyaz plans on developing his career at the Turkish club and doesn’t plan on moving anytime soon, despite interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.

The teenage sensation has caught the eye of many clubs during his time in Turkey this season. The 16 year old has not made any senior appearances so far this season, but was on the bench for Fenerbahce’s last 2 games.

Omer, at 16, has already established himself as a regular in the U-19 side for the club, clocking over 1000 minutes this season, and scoring 2 goals. Moreover, he’s scored 5 goals in 10 appearances for Turkey’s U-17 side, since making his debut last August.

The attacking midfielder has attracted interest from Manchester City and Barcelona as well, but handed an anti climax to all parties interested in his latest interview. Omer insists on leaving his mark in the Super Lig before moving elsewhere.

He said, “The interest from the European clubs makes me more determined to do well at Fenerbahce first. It feels great to be wanted, but I am not considering a transfer right now. My dream right now is to serve Fenerbahce. Our captain, Emre Belozoglu, and coach Volkan Demirel have been advising me well.”

Omer was set to make his debut in the coming Matchdays for his hometown club since the Turkish league went on despite the threat of Coronavirus and over 600 registered cases in Turkey. However, the Super Lig was suspended as recently as yesterdy, which means Omer might have to wait till next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown all intentions of building a youthful side at the English club, and their interest in latching on to a teenager making headlines comes as no surprise.

A move to Manchester United would probably yield the best results for Omer, who is looking for first team action. The Norwegian boss has shown that he knows exactly how to integrate a young talent into the first team, which is visible in his management of Mason Greenwood.
