Real Madrid wish to sign Manchester United midfield maestro Paul Pogba in this transfer window and are set to launch a £150 million offer for the Frenchman.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are hoping to make another marquee addition to their squad this summer with the signing of Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba. To that end, Los Blancos are willing to splurge £150 million euros on the World Cup winner.
Pogba is without a doubt one of the best midfielders in the business and one of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane’s most sought-after player. Pogba has been criticized by the United fans for his off-field antics and disciplinary issues. However on the pitch he was one of the, if not the, best Manchester United player this past season. With 13 goals and 9 assists the Frenchman has had the best statistical season of his career.
With all the speculation surrounding Pogba, he has proven to be very professional, travelling with the team on the club’s pre-season tour of Australasia, training hard and delivering some impressive displays on the pitch.
Real Madrid, who have already brought in Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, would be delighted to add a midfielder of Pogba’s stature to help them light up the Santiago Bernabeu and bring joy back to their fans, especially when their rivals Barcelona have landed the signatures of players like Frenkie de jong and Antoine Griezmann.
Physically Pogba is impossible to beat and has the vision of an eagle to find open spaces on the pitch which shows why Madrid want him so desperately. With Gareth Bale almost likely to leave, Real Madrid are willing to offer Pogba a staggering £600,000-a-week to persuade him to move to the Bernabeu.
Manchester United though, are in no hurry to sell Pogba. He still has 2 years remaining on his contract and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to give Pogba the captain’s armband for the upcoming season to convince the Frenchman to stay at Old Trafford.
The player himself has been fascinated by the new signings and intent to grow that has been showed by the club this summer. Thus, unless a huge bid arrives United are unlikely to let Pogba leave. Solskjaer seems pretty confident that Pogba will be a United player next season, but who knows what can unfold in the back end of this summer transfer window.
