Manchester United registered another nervy win in the Premier League, with a Romelu Lukaku goal in a 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion.
Manchester United strolled to a comfortable 2-0 lead in the first half, thanks to the opener from Romelu Lukaku and a deflected goal by Jesse Lingard. However, the second half saw United absorb pressure a bit, with the home side getting one back. United prevailed in the end, albeit with a much closer scoreline than they would have preferred.
Romelu Lukaku seems to have taken the criticism to heart. Goals in back-to-back Premier League games, the Belgian continued his mute celebration in a show of just how he felt about all the ridicule that has been aimed at him in the recent times. Twitter hailed the Belgian for his efforts while also noticing his celebration or lack thereof.
Complain when lukaku doesnt score , complain when he doesnt celebrate.
Somehow you get the feeling it isnt really about what he does

Lukaku is right. I like him more with this attitude. At United we don’t celebrate 2nd place. That’s for clubs like Arsenal

Two headed goals from two beautiful crosses in two consecutive games. Makes you think if Lukaku actually had a consistently good crosser on the wing, he would be scoring tonnes more. #mufc

Oh and what do ye want from @RomeluLukaku9? He has to celebrate every goal like he’s won the premier league title in December now? Jog on. Superb header that was. Lukaku + service = Goals. Not difficult maths that.

Lukaku gets bemoaned for not celebrating. Pogba/Lingard get slated for dabbing or dancing. I give up.

Lol.. People have problem with Lukaku not celebrating again ?
One thing I have learnt about life is that human beings desperately look for problems when there is none.
Human being like problems.

Lukaku not gonna celebrate till he plays City again
— m (@IceColdToto) December 17, 2017
#WBAMUN Lukaku should start to celebrate the goals and feel proud playing for United. He was praised when he played well and he liked it. When he played rubbish,of course he will be criticized.

I like Lukaku’s new attitude. Do your best, let them talk.
Focus.

Jesse Lingard scored another crucial goal for Manchester United. The academy graduate has seen his fair share of doubters but his performances seem to be turning them into believers – atleast that is what we can judge from the comments on Twitter.
Lingard’s doing well isn’t he? Didn’t start any of opening 8 league games. Started last five and scored four – all away. Homegrown local boy

Lingard has been a revelation at #10 as well. How do you expect Mourinho to go for Mkhitaryan when everything he wants he is getting out of Lingard. Talk about a manager improving a player. Oh no we don’t do that for Jose.

Jesse Lingard loves an away goal for Manchester United. Has been in sensational form. Proper threat in front of goal.
— Liam Canning (@LiamPaulCanning) December 17, 2017
Sterling would never start if Guardiola had Lingard.

Jesse Lingard’s goal today takes his tally for the season up to seven, which is already his best for #mufc. Will always get stick but having a brilliant United career and incredibly popular among younger fans.

José Mourinho is often accused of not improving players but I think he’s worked wonders with Jesse Lingard
